Arnold
I was born March 10, 1969, in Newport Beach, California and was raised in Tucson, Arizona. I was saved at the age of fourteen under the preaching of the word of God in a Baptist church. After high school, I attended Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona and graduated from the aviation program as a commercial pilot and flight instructor. While logging hours, I worked for my father's company as an electrician. In 1993 the Lord brought Leslie and I together and brought us both back into fellowship with Him.

Our Call to Serve
In 1998, we joined Desert Springs Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona. Under the mentoring of Rev. Gary L. Berry, we were discipled and grew in the Lord. We both sensed the call to full-time ministry while serving as counselors at youth camp in 2000. After serving for a number of years under the ministry of Pastor Berry, we moved to Springfield, Missouri at the end of 2004 to enroll in Baptist Bible College (BBC). Leslie was hired at the Baptist Bible Fellowship Mission Office shortly after we arrived and held that position during our time at BBC.
In 2005 during our first semester at Baptist Bible College, God burdened Scooter’s heart to minister to the people of Spain. He asked the Lord to deal directly with Leslie. He knew if he shared this information with her, she would be willing to follow, but Scooter believed that Leslie also needed to hear God’s call.
In July 2006, God gave Leslie a burden for the people of Spain while Scooter was away at camp. When she shared this with him upon his return, he informed her that God had burdened him for Spain a year and a half earlier. We rejoiced together in God’s plan for our lives!
Scooter graduated from Baptist Bible College in May 2008 with honors and humbly received the Fred Donnelson award. Leslie has completed the Baptist Bible Fellowship International (BBFI) required missions course and received a Certificate of Missions from Louisiana Baptist University. Scooter was ordained May 16, 2008, at Southland Baptist Church in Belton, Missouri.
